The Story

As one of the first science fiction stories, Frankenstein grapples with the meaning of life, God, and progress within a beautifully gothic-romantic literary style. We used these themes as inspiration for a Victorian gothic-romantic décor design. Brooding, cold, and electric.

Our literary poster borrows from classic Frankenstein iconography while maintaining the gothic-romantic themes central to the work. We depict a Byronic struggle with the purpose of life by drawing on classic images such as Wanderer above the Sea of Fog for our gallery wall series. Much like Frankenstein himself, we aim to stitch together the old classic themes to create something new.

In this book poster, we see the monster contemplate mortality. He at once towers over and becomes one with the graveyard in a classic electric green mist. This results in a whimsical goth decor perfect for readers and book lovers looking for literary gifts to curate an authentic bookish gothic decor experience that stays true to the themes of this literary classic.
