Our The Snow Queen Title Page art print inspired by Hans Christian Andersen reflects the captivating beauty and unsettling chill of Andersen’s fairy tale.
Part of our Title Page collection, this literary print pairs words and imagery to express what the story means to us. It is our interpretation of the work, rather than a reproduction of a published book cover.
The Story Behind the Design
"The ice freezes on the panes into wonderful forms that look like flowers and castles."
If you are wishing for a white Christmas, then look no further. Published alongside The Fir Tree, the story of The Snow Queen reminds us to see the beauty in things despite the titular character embracing a cold and icy outlook. This is cleverly shown in the beauty of the captivating language and artwork in the fairy tale itself.
Our art print mirrors this icy beauty with a stunning snowy scene filled with colour and winter magic from the original work. We also use a Hans Christian Andersen quote reminding us of the powerful lure of the cold.
