Ruby Vitalitonic: An RPG Health Potion Inspired Tea Blend

Storyport merchants travel across worlds to bring you extraordinary teas. Our RPTeas collection imagines the brews of Aldermere, Beyond the Shelf’s own fantasy world.

From its ancient Potions Guild comes Ruby Vitalitonic: a vivid ruby-red rooibos infusion with apple, hibiscus, rosehip, raspberry and warming ginger, inspired by the little crimson potions carried by Aldermere’s adventurers.

Flavours

A robust rooibos base gives this infusion body, while apple and raspberry bring gentle red-fruit flavour. Hibiscus and rosehip add a lightly tart edge rather than a sharp sourness, with ginger supplying a warming finish. Its vivid ruby colour gives it all the appearance of a classic adventure potion, with a fruit-led flavour to match.

A companion for quests on the page or around the table, this is our imagining of a fantasy health potion in your teacup.

The Tea Experience

Appearance: Rooibos, fruit pieces, hibiscus, rosehip and ginger, brewing a vivid ruby red.

Flavour: Rounded red fruit, gentle tartness and a warming ginger finish.

Serving: Enjoy plain, ideally in a clear cup to show off the ruby-red brew.

The Merchant's Dispatch

From the Founders of Aldermere's Potions Guild

It is said that the first great achievement of the Potions Guild was not a spell, an enchantment or an impressive demonstration of magical fire.

Since those earliest days of myth and legend, this unassuming crimson phial has accompanied heroes into dragon-haunted mountains, through perilous ruins and towards a remarkable number of situations from which sensible people would have fled.

Its place in history is unquestioned. Its recipe, however, remains the Guild's most closely guarded secret.

The Storyport merchants were permitted to purchase a small consignment on the strict condition that they make no enquiries into its preparation.
