The Story

In Rebecca, the salt wind of the beach blows into all corners of Manderly. The uncontrollable ocean, crashing against the shore, is starkly contrasted with the cruel order of the Manderly Estate, As the story unfolds we come to learn the dark connection between Manderly and its shore, setting the scene for one of the greatest twists in (Romantic) Gothic Fiction.

Our literary poster captures the dangers of the ocean with a jagged stormy sky and stark rocks on the shore whilst retaining a sense of the romantic in softer pinks breaking through the clouds.

We wanted to combine the gothic with the unknown depths of both love and the ocean with our Rebecca literary poster. The jagged storm and stark rocks give a sense of unease offset with romantic pinks betraying a love that overcomes intrigues of the past. This results in dark academia décor perfect for readers and book lovers looking for literary gifts to curate an authentic bookish experience that stays true to this literary classic.
