Bag End Blend: A Lord of the Rings Inspired Tea

Storyport merchants travel across worlds to bring you tea inspired by our favourite stories. Part of our Literary Tea Collection, Bag End Blend takes its inspiration from the unhurried comforts of the Shire.

Flavours
Naturally sweet-tasting honeybush and soft apple meet rosehip and elderflower in a mellow herbal infusion. A comforting alternative for those who prefer something softer than black tea, best enjoyed in a generous mug.

The Tea Experience

Appearance: Honeybush mixed with apple pieces, rosehip and elderflower.

Flavour: Mellow honeybush and soft apple, with gentle hedgerow freshness from rosehip and elderflower.

Serving: Enjoy plain, preferably in a generous mug. Add honey to enhance its naturally sweet, floral, and woody flavour profile

The Merchant's Dispatch

From the Hills Beyond the Great Road

For once, the Storyport merchants found themselves in a land where no one seemed particularly interested in grand adventures. The inhabitants preferred well-tended gardens, comfortable chairs, a proper fire in the hearth and a thoroughly respectable number of meals each day.

The merchants were invited to supper, breakfast and then a second breakfast which appeared to be treated as an essential civic duty. Their hosts served a gentle honeybush-and-apple infusion, explaining that the finest things in life were seldom the most complicated.

The merchants agreed, although they did ask whether the recipe was available for trade. They were sent on their way with several chests of tea, two fresh pies and strict instructions not to miss elevenses.
